A Safe Space for Healing & Connection

Navigating the teenage years can be overwhelming, and too often, teens feel like they have to face their struggles alone. At Start with Art, we believe in the power of creativity, connection, and community to support mental well-being. That’s why we created Monday Mental Health Teen Nights—a welcoming space where teens can express themselves through art, engage in fun activities, and find support among peers.

We’re proud to collaborate with Chasing Sunsets, a nonprofit dedicated to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health. Together, we provide a safe and encouraging environment where teens can share their experiences, learn healthy coping skills, and participate in creative activities that support emotional well-being. Through this partnership, we aim to not only raise awareness about teen mental health but also offer real, tangible support for those who need it most.

Our Teen Nights aren’t just about art—they’re about experiences. We partner with local businesses to host events in engaging spaces, giving teens a variety of ways to unwind and connect. From roller skating at Starlite Skating Rink and bowling nights to movie screenings at our local theatre and special gatherings at the 4H Fairgrounds, we’re creating opportunities for teens to enjoy positive social experiences in a safe and supportive environment.

Each event includes creative activities designed to help teens explore their emotions, build healthy coping skills, and most importantly—know they are not alone. Whether it’s painting, journaling, or just spending time with friends in a fun setting, our goal is to foster mental well-being through connection and self-expression.

With your support, we can continue to provide these vital experiences, ensuring every teen has access to a space where they feel heard, valued, and inspired.
